From Inside the House launched on August 7th.

NightTide Magazine Editor-In-Chief, Mo Moshaty, has released From Inside the House, a podcast exploring women’s trauma in horror cinema under her production company, Mourning Manor Media.

Known for elevating historically marginalized creatives, Moshaty co-produced 13 Minutes of Horror: A Film Challenge in 2021 and 2022, partnering with Shudder Channel, and co-created the Nyx Horror Fellowship with Stowe Story Labs. As Editor-In-Chief since it’s inception, she has recently brought NightTide Magazine under her wing for expansion and enterprise.

Moshaty states, “More than half of horror cinematic audiences are women, and women’s trauma is usually mined for horror stories. Audio is a great platform to explore and analyze the characters we’ve grown to love in the context of real societal issues women face.”

Mo Moshaty’s experience as a horror writer and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, coupled with her extensive international lectures on women’s trauma in horror cinema, brings depth and expertise to the topic. From Inside the House dives into key characters’ stories, & the traumas they reflect, from the Possessed, the Vengeful, the Grief-stricken, the Hysterical, & the Objectified.

“Using the horror genre as pedagogy to explore women’s trauma is a wonderful way to breakthrough to the fringe fans of horror who are also a little bit nerdy for cinema. My goal is enacting change by focusing the conversation to analyzation with celebration.” Moshaty continued, “As art imitates life, I’m hopeful that the topics we will be discussing, albeit heavy subject matter, will help people find hope in the real-life traumas they face, and in turn, seek more horror cinema, seek help and support for traumas they themselves are facing, or recognize traits in friends and loved ones and provide that support. All through the love of horror films.”

From Inside the House will feature guests come backgrounds in the horror industry such as filmmakers, critics, academics, philanthropists, counselors, authors, and actors.
