Award-Winning LGBTQ+ Creators Bring Viral Queer Horror Film to YouTube Audiences Worldwide on June 1st

HOLLYWOOD, CA (May 16, 2026) — Following a successful festival run, the queer horror short film Demon Twink will make its online premiere on the YouTube channel Rainbow Moon, bringing the provocative LGBTQ+ horror story to a global audience.

Written and directed by filmmaker Steven George, Demon Twink blends body horror and dark comedy to explore body image, desirability, and aging within queer culture. The film follows Dante, a depressed queer man who is offered eternal youth through a mysterious glory hole. But after accepting the offer, he discovers his transformation comes with a deadly price.

The film previously screened at several festivals, including the Queer Screams Film Festival, the Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival, and the Queer Fear Film Festival, where it won the Audience Choice Award. Produced by LGBTQ+ influencer and YouTuber Chris Stanley alongside producer James Canellos and actor/producer Olivia Cordell, the project was developed by a predominantly queer creative team committed to expanding queer representation in horror.

“Rarely do we see queer characters existing in a purely queer world, especially in horror,” says writer/director Steven George. “We wanted to use the genre to explore nuanced issues within the queer community while still delivering something entertaining, unsettling, and fun.”

Chris Stanley, known online as @StanChris, built a massive following through LGBTQ+ comedy and commentary content, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers across YouTube and TikTok. His work often emphasizes confidence, identity, and body positivity — themes that are central to Demon Twink.

George is also known for his viral virtual reality short films, which have collectively earned millions of views online. Demon Twink marks his latest venture into elevated queer genre storytelling.

Demon Twink will premiere for free on Rainbow Moon on June 1st, 2026, in honor of Pride Month.
